Rick J. Hernandez
With over 15 years of business advisory experience that addresses organizational effectiveness and ROI, Rick Hernandez has helped companies proactively advance organizational performance by assisting corporate leaders in navigating through change events resulting from cyclical restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, and professional development initiatives. From C-suite level and executive teams, down to front line individual contributors, he as launched key business and culture-specific initiatives that increase leadership and team excellence through performance enhancement, awareness, and personal commitment.
Most recently, Rick was Managing Partner of Provancement, Inc., and formerly served as the Managing Director, U.S. West Division, for DBM, a global human capital consulting firm. He has worked as an advisor to individuals from such premier Fortune 100 & 500 organizations as Intel, Southern California Edison, Motorola, Sony Entertainment, Jafra Cosmetics, and the Dole Corporation.

Prior to joining DBM, in 1999, Rick was the founder and President of Syntesis International, a Leadership and Performance Consulting Group, offering services around leadership development, cultural integration, and experiential teambuilding. His focal point and passion was to build effective team learning systems by enhancing synergistic leadership skills, vision strategies, and personal transformation. Notably, in 1999 Rick was recruited to launch and facilitate a premier management development series for Disney's Global Leadership and Organization Development Departments, coaching mid to senior level executives identified for advancement within the Disney companies.
His signature is underscored by creativity, innovation, and metrics - focusing on a "whole-istic" approach that blends structure, commitment, and personal discipline - "How do we create a culture that capitalizes on a strong vision, mission, values, and goals, while increasing morale, pride of ownership, and personal accountability." Rick is fluent in three languages; English, French, Spanish, and is conversational in Italian. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications/Theatre from the California State University, Northridge. As an international Executive Coach, Change Management and Motivational speaker, he has served such notable organizations as Amgen, Nestle, Caltech, Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, Guitar Center, Bank of America, Baxter, Verizon, The Walt Disney Company, Harman International, Hilton Hotels, Raytheon, Hunt-Wesson, and Hawaii Gas, to name a few. Additionally, he has presented to the Human Resources community through his participation and support of SHRM, PIHRA, NHRA, and as a seminar leader for U.C.L.A., Pepperdine, and CSCI Universities.
