With over fourteen years of industry expertise, Jim Ortiz provides a strategic component to the Syntesis Global™ team, augmenting job search strategies with increased market service effectiveness through job development and referral.

Jim's experience is in the area of employment services, including a strong

history of recruitment, training, and career services for leading Fortune 500 corporations, government institutions, and colleges. His expertise includes Executive Search, one- on-one counseling, and group workshop delivery.

Jim's engagements span the biopharmaceutical, medical device, aerospace,

Manufacturing, information technology, insurance, retail, and restaurant management, industries. He has worked for such organizations as Amgen, Raytheon, MannKind Corporation, State Farm Insurance, FedEx Kinko's, Invitrogen, Allergan Medical, Sloan LED, Watchfire, Bio-Ops and MRG. He has interviewed thousands of candidates over the years for a wide variety of positions and career levels. Jim has also worked with various public agencies including the State of California and the Ventura Community College District.

Jim has instructed professional courses for management and individual contributors on several topics including Selection Interviewing, On-line Recruiting, Performance Management, Time Management, Goal Setting, New Employee Orientation, and Interviewing Skills. Jim's experience also includes creating a full-service Career Center assistance program for world leading biotechnology companies. He has also presented on career and job search topics to several universities including, UCLA, Pomona College, and Cal State Northridge.

Jim holds a BA in History from U.C.L.A., and has received a training certification from the American Management Association and a Competent Toastmaster Certification from Toastmasters International. Jim is also a member of The National Human Resources Association, The Society of Human Resources Professionals and of the California Career Development Association.
